School is officially out this week and I’m already worried about what we’re going to do this summer to keep the kids entertained! Today I’ve gathered some fun ideas to help you come up with some new and exciting things to do with the kids when you hear the inevitable cries of “Mom, we’re bored!” In the past I’ve made little lists with my kids, but I LOVE these ideas and will definitely be using them to keep me sane!
This first printable is from Laura Winslow Photography. Laura is an amazing photographer in Arizona who works a lot with Kim from The TomKat Studio. Laura created this fun printable that you can frame and refer to for lots of fun summer ideas. Just click on the link above to Laura’s website and you can download and print this cute page of ideas!
This next idea was created by Jen from Tatertots and Jello shared on Positively Splendid. Jen created a ‘bucket list’ of things for you to do with the kids. The great thing about her idea is you can print out ideas she has already come up with to put in your bucket, and you can print blank cards to create your own ideas too! Just click HERE to print everything you need – you just need to find the fun “bucket” to put your ideas in!
This is the ‘I’m Bored’ jar from Kristine McKay Designs. I like this ideas because Kristine has created fun ideas, like make cookies with mom, as well as some maybe not so fun ideas, like dust your room, or pull weeds. The kids are taking a chance as to what they’re going to draw out of the jar. Maybe they’ll think twice about saying ‘I’m bored mom!’ Just click HERE to find instructions and print out all of Kristine’s ideas for the jar.
Next we have an idea from the girls at eighteen25 using a darling chevron patterned paper (you choose the color!) and a tall picture frame. For their idea, you just print the cute paper at Costco, put it in the frame, and then make your own list of things to do; checking off your items as you do them.
I hope these creative girls have given you some inspiration to make a fun summer ‘to-do’ list with your kids to keep everyone from going crazy this summer 🙂 Most of all, just have fun and enjoy the summer because it’ll go by fast!
