We just got a note from our school saying we couldn’t bring in a bunch of balloons, flowers, gift baskets, etc. but luckily they said we could still do the treats if the teacher’s okay with it! So darn cute. We just got a letter home from school saying that, in addition to no homemade treats, they will "not be celebrating birthdays" in class...we can't even bring in store-bought treats or a take-home favor or balloons! Sheesh, total buzz kill. I was a teacher for 10 years before I had kids, so I understand not taking away instructional time for a party, but I think their new policy is a little extreme.
